After talking with several of my friends and coworkers, we all pretty much agreed that AX 2008 wasn’t as great as AX 2007. Convention operations was wonderful, so it’s definitely not that. Someone said the venue, I’m inclined to disagree. Yes, driving in that area sucks. Trying to get food outside the convention sucks. But inside the place, it’s awesome. I’m thinking it’s because the special guests for this year is rather “unknown”. Well, unknown to me. I suppose most of my friends that went to the con were more casual enthusiast of anime like myself. Real world does take up all free time to do other things (like watch anime).
