Bitter Bard

Bard is a fun job. I didn’t think I would have this much fun having to pay attention to the screen all the time, but I am. I’ve gotten it to level 18 from 11 in a few days.

Since I was sick at home, I thought I would level it up some more before dynamis tonight. I put up my flag in Valkurm Dunes and wait it out. I didn’t have to wait long before I had a party invite. So the guy was level 20, I’m beggars can’t be choosers I say. Oh man, the party disbanded after 1 fight and I didn’t even make it to camp then. >:( The lead goes to the level 19 subjobless white mage. ;_; So I end up getting lead when I ask if he’s looking for replacements. Somehow they decide that they would rather look for subjob quest items instead. >.< Two of them that needed items. And then the white mage guilt trips me into helping by saying everyone in FFXI is selfish. I’m like wth. -_-; The dancer drops from the party and I’m left with 2 noobs and 1 other player who’s willing to help them. Great. >.<

A quick stop back in Windurst to switch jobs and I’m out killing flies in Valkurm Dunes. It took a while before I was able to get the worm drops. During that time, my party mates kept on dying. Just thinking about it now my bitterness grows.

Next is the skull. I think at least 1 of them didn’t have the Dem crystal, so they had to be walked there. >.<; After killing Ghouls for over an hour…. what drops? 2 Gravity scrolls and a bunch of bone chips, but NO SKULL. Eventually, the newbies had to log along with the helpful WAR leaving me rather bitter with the situation. So unproductive.

At least Dynamis-Jeuno was fun. I died a lot, but we won. :)

And then I was back to bard. No invites. The only one seeking within my level was a JP white mage. Bitterrrrrr.
